Colombiana

Good day everyone,

The movie is about a little girl who flees for the dangerous people who are after her family. The girl carries a chip they are looking for. There is important information in the chip. The older she gets the more she find out about the situation she has been in. When she gets older, her revenge plan starts on the man who killed her father because of the chip.

I’ve seen the movie Colombiana more than once and i love it! After i watched it the last time, i asked people (who saw the movie) what they think about it. I hear different reactions. Many people find it unbelieveble, bad acted, even a B movie. Every so has his own opinion. I think the movie is nicely made. There is a good pace, nicely built up and well acted. The story and the genre really appeals to me. There are many bad words, violence and sex scenes in it. A lot of tension too. In my opinion it is a 16+ movie. It is definitely worth watching.

Thank you for reading, I hope you it is of some use for you.

The age of Adeline

In the beginning you don’t know in which year it’s being played. Until you see that she is buying fake ID’s from a modern young boy, by that you know it’s present time. Then the voiceover tells you about what happened with Adaline Bowmen and why she looks so young but with such an old soul and appearance. I could imagine that it’s very nostalgic for people that lived around that time (around 1920/1930). The scene where she has her first car accident, causing her to never age again, gives the movie something fantasy/fiction vibes. But is a beautiful scene too, the voiceover makes it fascinating.

A few scenes are quite exciting as well, because she had to flee from a lot from cops and people who want to run tests on her. She constantly must be on the move because otherwise people would notice that she isn’t aging. She changes her living place, name and appearance every decade. What I think is quite sad, too make a house feel like home every time over again. I think it’s ironic she only has one friend that is blind. Just because she can’t see that she’s not changing in her appearance.

I love it when she first lays eyes on Allis and he looks the same way back at her. But I think it’s a shame that she doesn’t does something because she thinks it’s impossible for het too find love or have a relationship. That’s the feeling that I have true out a big part of the movie. The struggle of her not excepting love because she thinks it’s impossible. Even though she meets the most loving en nicest guys. It’s quite frustrating and beautiful at the same time. This is because she’s a very kind person and says things in a very quiet nice way, in a way that you never could be mad at her.

Her past love stories are heart breaking but at the same time heart-warming. Especially in the end where she found out she dated the father of Allis, what was a beautiful relationship at the time. There are a lot of flashbacks of the father in the movie where you can see the two in love and her breaking his heart in the end.

When the moment comes that Allis finds out that she never ages and that she dated her father, you feel his confusion but also the unconditional love he still has for her. That’s why it’s exciting when she’s trying to flee again. He chases her and when she’s in a car accident again, you can feel the stress and panic about if she survives yes or no. The most touching moment I think is the moment the daughter comes in de hospital for Adaline, and Adaline tells her that Ellis knows about her not ageing and that she’s her daughter. The moment when the daughter starts crying, she’s an old woman by then, is very emotional and touching.

The Age of Adaline is my favourite film because it’s innocent, heart-warming and beautiful. You can really feel the struggle she has with love and him feeling deeply for her. You really feel all the emotions that they both feeling, what’s causing me to feel connected with the players. Overall a good feelgood movie with a happy ending.

LOL

Good day everyone,

Miley Cyrus crawls into the skin of Lola who continuously makes drama. Separating her parents and then coming together again, her mother suddenly has a new boyfriend. Her father gets lonely. And is that is not enough, her boyfriend cheats on her. Of course they broke up! And than she falls in love with Kyle. Her ex’s best friend… But the question is, did he cheat on her as well? Or was it a misunderstanding?

There are many different storylines but finally it is about the love between Lola and Kyle. The movie is really a cliché. It’s a chickflick. I personally think it’s a nice movie to watch in bed when you have nothing to do. It is well acted, not particularly good or bad. There are words in the film and sex scenes, so in my opinion it is a 12+ movie. It is worth watching!

Bohemian Rhapsody

This is a vlog review by Denice Bax

Good morning, everyone who’s reading this movie blog!

Today there’s another written review about a movie. So this review is about the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. The story about the famous singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury. This movie tells his story and it really gave me goose bumps! It began with Freddie watching a music show from three unknown boys. The lead of the group singer stops and Freddie want to sing for their group.

And there the story begins! Freddie joins the group and they become famous. The story of Freddie is really fascinating. I really enjoyed watching the movie. Because of the resembles of the actors and the real people. They look so much a like! The clothing and the hairstyles are definitely pretty cool. There’s probably been so much work about this movie. The best songs of Queen have been really highlighted in this movie. I really would recommend everybody to watch this fascinating and inspiring movie!
